Maybelline Pro Rose Poudre Swatches, studs and soppyness

You've been warned from the title that this is about to get soppy (only a bit I promise) but first the polish. Can you believe that this is my first nude polish! I saw this on makeupsavvy.co.uk a while ago and decided it would be a good place to start, I was right lol it looks quite dark in the bottle maybe too dark for me on first appearances however I think it's a decent match. It's quite beigey with pink undertones.

This is only two coats that glided on so easily, a really lovely formula, it dries quite dull but obviously that's not a problem when I was going to Seche Vite it anyway :). These polishes cost £4.09 which is an odd price right? But I think this is worth it, I really like it.
I bought some studs off ebay for £0.99 you get 75 little gold studs in a resealable bag I'd been wanting some forever but I kept forgetting to get some hahaha. To put them on I used a cuticle stick thing as for some reason they stuck to it :P and then just pushed them around until I was happy that they were lined up properly.

I am cray about this, honestly I love this!! I think it looks so chic and sophisticated (first time for everything ;)) nude and studs are a timeless combination that everyone should try once, they look great, easy nail art :D.
Here's where it gets soppy, tomorrow is mine and the boyfs two year anniversary, I know that it's not a very long time to some people but I like to celebrate the little things in life. So here is the final touch to my mani my fake tat ;) I used Orly Ma Cherie (which the lovely Anna sent me) and dotting tools to create the heart and my white nail art pen which as you can see is going stringy, oh noes.

The claw....sorry about the hideous flash!

I'm really happy with this mani :) my only quarrel is the photos, I always do my nails at night for some reason lol so I am forced to use flash, I don't think they're that bad?
Can I just say that I'm super happy that my nails look smooth for once!! No canyons!!! Woo this must be a miracle working polish!
Have a good night/day lol

I've been haulin' haulin' haulin'

Hey, here is the promised haul post, it's not much but they are all goodies apart from the Nails Inc but we'll cross that bridge when we get there ;)

First Dior haulin'
Dior vernis Saint Tropez and Riviera, Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick in Lucky

Here is my new favourite lipstick with the matching nail polish, yes they do match!
Look how pretty they are, lucky and lucky :D
I can't wait to wear the two Luckys together and neither can I wait for sun to wear Saint Tropez and Riviera!

Then my first indiesssss! The Hungry Asian! Woo Kae is so sweet, I love the little note she included with my package. I love that she ships internationally I got my order a week after placing it and that's including the bank holiday!! And those little heart shaped bottles kill me :)
Eeee Sneeze Breeze, Sea Creature and Vote for Purple, I cannot wait to wear these!

And finally my Nails Inc Lucky Dip, I feel like I've been conned lol I know it is just me being silly butI thought that a lucky dip would actually be a lucky dip not get-rid-of-all-the-old-polishes-that-noone-wants.......I was expecting summery colours, neons maybe a nude but nope I got dark colours, I know they'll be good for winter but it is summer now and I'm impatient. Ha
Gold glitter crackle in Farringdon, Buckingham Street, Park Crescent, Chelsea, Hampton Court and Chester Terrace
I'm willing to give all of these the benefit of the doubt bar the crack and Chelsea as I hate crack and I already have one dark brown; I really don't need another! But hey for only £15 I can't really complain.

So there you go what do you think of my hauling?

Camera Update

Hi everyone, I've heard back from the repair guy, he thinks he can fix my camera for.....£96!!! Gah why did this have to happen! He didn't say how long it should take but I'm going to send it off tomorrow and ring him so hopefully I should have my baby back soon!
However I do have a temporary camera in the form of my dad's friends camera, he was very kind and has let me borrow his camera for a bit, so tomorrow I will have pictures for you :).

In other news, if I get my delivery tomorrow I will have two posts, a haul post and my mani ooooooooo how exciting! So keep 'em peeled ;D

Summer ombre skittles

Hi, the camera is still broke but hopefully I'm getting a quote of how much it will be to fix it *fingers crossed* it's not too much. I realised I have some pictures that I never put up, I did these nails a couple of weeks ago.

I had this vision for them but they didn't quite go according to plan as I rushed it so the lines are messy :( but here it is
No closeup for these ;) they look better from a distance

I used 15 polishes for this!
Like my carpet? LOL
1-9 = top row, 10-15 = bottom row
1. Models Own - Lilac Dream 2. Rimmel Pro - Ultra Violet
3. Sinful Colors - Amethyst
4. Kiko - 345 Jade Green
5. Color Club
6. Kiko - 346 Olive Drab
7. Barry M - Blueberry Ice cream
8. Barry M
9. Topshop - Airplane
10. Color Club
11. Rimmel - Style Hunter
12. Barry M
13. Revlon - Sunshine Sparkle
14. Sinful Colors - Unicorn
15. Kiko - 355 Canary Yellow

All the palest colours required 2 - 3 coats, the middle colours were 1 thick coat and the darkest all took 1 coat. To do this I painted about a third of my nail in the palest colour, it doesn't matter if you do more as the other colour will cover it, once that had dried I did the middle and then the tips which were the easiest. I tried when painting to make sure that the sections were relatively straight and even so striping the black was easier. As you can see I was a bit off with the black lines. If you were to recreate this it would make a lot more sense to use the taping method but I like to freehand as I feel that's the only way I'll become the best!! LOL

I called these ombre skittles as I feel they are more ombre than gradient hahaha.

Hopefulllllly my camera will be fixed real quick as I am expecting some awesome nail mail that I wish to share with you :)

Seeyou soon!

:( my camera is broke

Hi, so I tried to take my usual nail pictures to discover that my camera would not take a photo and was flashing err so I've tried cleaning the contacts, taking the lens off, battery out to no avail. So unfortunately unless it magically repairs itself overnight I'll have to take it to a repair man which means I'll be camera less!!!! My sister has a camera but it's nowhere near as good as my Nikon :(. I'll let you know but for now I can't post photos :(

Jil Sander inspired Paisley Nail art

Ever since I saw her new gorgeous Paisley print clothing in Elle I knew I would have to do a mani inspired by it! I love me some paisley, you an get lost when drawing it and when you add more than one colour it looks so good! I only did the paisley as accent nails as I was limited on time plus I think it would have been a bit much to have this on all 10 nails lol.
I started with Zoya Dannii which the lovely Anna sent me :) I'm sure you've all seen Dannii before but incase you haven't it's a purple foil with silver, red and coppery shimmer which create a warm glow when under bright light. It was opaque in one coat but I did two to get the full effect. And two nails of a Sally Hansen French white, which somehow I managed to get opaque in two coats!

Then I added a coat of my new fav Seche Vite to make sure I had a perfectly smooth and dry surface, which is the key thing when doing freehand designs with a pen, you do not want to just drag the tacky polish of the nail with the nib! I've done that before and it's not pretty. I used the pink, yellow and purple nail supreme pens, I love them! Here's the final result.

Left hand

Showing off - my right hand ;) you can see the faults though!
The original print by Jil Sander was pink, blue and green but I chose these colours as I prefer them and my blue pen is having a serious blob attack at the moment :P. I'm pretty happy with these, everyone who has seen them asked if they were transfers/wraps so that's a good sign. The only thing I don't like is using Dannii on the rest of my nails, it looks okay in the pictures but IRL it looks less good, I wanted the purple to pick out the purple in the design but instead it makes it fade away almost lol! Or maybe I'm just being dramatic :P.

Also if you don't follow Nails Inc on Facebook you really have to, that's how I found out about the Jubilee Lucky Dip deal; 6 randomly selected full size polishes for £15!!!!!!!! Can you believe that?! This deal is available until 5th June but only if stocks last that long, which I doubt, so if you haven't already take advantage! Sorry all my non UK readers for the jelly you will feel at this amazing deal lol

Hope you enjoyed
