These nails be Tipsy!

Hi!
So following on from yesterday's post about the nails I have created for the second issue of Tipsy Zine :) I finished them today so I thought I'd show you!
First the boring normal shots

L-R clockwise: Mermaid Camo with black stud, Ripped fishnet tights over blue and purple saran wrap, black tape over blue and purple saran wrap, bundled chain with brushstrokes and in the middle my favourite tartan with chain.
I couldn't just leave them there before posting them to America so I bluetacked them to my nails and gave them the abbienail photographic treatment ;)

I hope these make it into the magazine as I really love them now! I wasn't so sure about the index aka fishnet at first but even if you can't tell that that's what it is it can kind of pass as a scaley look :)
I'm excited to see what the talented nail artists have produced, I still can't believe that they ask me to contribute, MPnails, Astrowifey, ClaraH, Amvinails, Haus of Lacquer, Britney Tokyo and more all are featured and to see my name/ work alongside those is amazing!

I hope you like them!!

Tipsy nails in progress

Tipsy in both name and nature ;). I got asked to contribute again and so I am making some nails for the theme of Seapunk! It's an exciting theme I think and is bang on trend as usual, I drew inspiration from this Christopher Kane SS13 dress, it's the perfect mix of feminine with a punk twist. It appeared in UK Elle and I loe everything about this image...studs, mesh boots!! lace, leather gaaaaah perfection.

So I have gone for classic punk patterns in mermaid colours, these nails are a work in progress but I thought you might like to how I'm getting on, a little sneak peak ;).
The green is a lot softer in real life! But the tartan is my favourite followed by the tape nail :) embellishments are still to come and I need to paint the last two nails.

So what do you think?

Chanel Frenzy - I'm just not that into you

HI!
I am currently wearing Chanel Frenzy and I'm so disappointed with it...I fell for the photos of it that came from Fashion Week, I ignored online swatches from countless bloggers who, like me, fell for those photos, they all said it looks nothing like the photos but I thought...it might change colour on me! Pah. Soooooo wrong and it makes me sad :(.
Here's the photo in question
How beautiful, a grey with lilac jelly goodness...

(I found the image on google, I don't know the original source, if anyone does let me know)

In real life it looks more like a stone wash...
Anyone else seeing the same polish here??

I dunno I just felt so in love with it from the picture and even in the bottle but when it's on it just falls flat for me :( it needs a hint of lilac and more grey and I'd love it! It's too nude for me, I guess it looks quite polished and chic but it's not what I was expecting!

The formula was perf though, I did 3 coats to fill my canyons but 2 would have been sufficient for those of you who haven't got ridge related impairments.

In other news, I am creating some nails for the second issue of Tipsyzine! Yay :) I'm really happy that they asked me to contribute again, especially with the calibre of nail artists that they feature! I'll show you them when I've finished of course :).
Also I am literally dying to get my hands on some Flossgloss...namely Con Limon (who doesn't want that neon perfection!) Neon Nacho, Perf and Fastlane :D my problem is I probably can't afford them and shipping is dodgey with regards to nail polish now, but that might only be with Royal Mail. Hmmm I'll get saving I guess!

Now on Bloglovin :)

In an effort to be more organised and to make sure I don't miss any blog posts and so that you can follow my blog easily I have joined bloglovin, so just click the button on the left to follow my blog :)

Okay why have I only just found out about this?? It makes reading blogs so easy! I love it lol! I know what I'm doing tonight ;) peeeeheeee

I have also downloaded the bloglovin Iphone app and I recommend it, it's free and makes reading all your favourite blogs extremely easy, especially if those blogs usually have a lot of comments as reading the blogs in the app means that you don't see the comments, you have the option to then open the post in safari.
You can then push the post upwards and then you will be reading the next post on your reading list. You can like posts too which means they are then saved so you can easily find them at a later date! You can search for blogs in the same way as you would on the website. The app is just a really good and useful!

These nails got a mind of their own...

Hey,
Two weeks since my last post??! I don't even know what I've been doing....I only just did my nails, I've been going naked for a couple of days :O. I've been in a rut I guess, too much inspiration but I can't decide what I want to do on my nails so I end up doing nothing. I'm turning into the worst blogger ever but I just like to wear my nailart out and about :P. I have big respect for other bloggers who can post everyday!
I'm surprised I haven't lost any followers yet so thank you for sticking with me :).

On to todays nails, I tried some saran wrap nails but I didn't have any saran wrap...don't even know what that is...and I didn't have any clingfilm either so I used a plastic bag that you put your veg in at the supermarket...I used Essie Navigate her then a purple Kiko and then Models Own Lilac Dream but all you can see is a purple colour :P.
I wanted to use these silver gems that shine different colours(?) but I always thought that a topcoat would dull them but I was brave and used them and top-coated and they weren't dulled yay! So then I just kind of went from there and went a little bit cray...okay a lot cray. I knew I wanted a hanging chain but it had to be practical, as practical as it could be ;) so I got some other studs and pearls out and got sticking.

Err so there you go ;). People just keep asking me how do I wash my hair etc...I say same as usual lol! The chain doesn't get in the way that much and I like it, it's a little bit trashy but a lot fun like a holographic bag.....which I really want! Hahahahah but yeah I'm not sure how long I'll keep these as seche vite is doing that thing again where it turns white at the edges and asks me to piggle it off. It's really addictive when you get to peel chains off too heheh.

I feel my nails are gonna get even more impractical as time goes on ;).

I bought Chanel Frenzy yesterday so I imagine I'll wear that next, a sophisticated break from all chains and studs. Talking of Chanel I cannot wait for their summer polishes to be released...have you seen that blue?? Love!

Hope to see you soon!

Matte White with neon rose nail art

Hey,
I've been super busy with uni work (what's new?) so not a lot of time for nails as usual :( although I did manage to swatch Gosh Holographic Hero but the pictures don't do it any justice so I didn't post it, I might post it later if I can.
I painted my nails white as I think they can look really chic as long as it's a good application, I was watching QVC this morning like you do and Nails Inc was on and the lady said something like ugh nobody wants white nails, they're so 80s! Lol! Not to me ;). I mattified one hand to originally show you but I ended up mattifying all my nails :)
I new I wanted to add some nail art and that it was going to be neon as the white base was screaming for it ;) this was my first time doing roses since Feb 2012!! LOL I was obviously scarred by my only attempt. I never could get my head around how to do roses for some reason....but I do now :)

I wanted to hold a typically british biscuit like a custard cream but we had eaten them all so I settled for a breakfast biscuit :P. Biscuits were needed for 2 reasons; 1. they're yuuuummy and 2. I thought my nails look like a floral teacup....yeah.

I just mixed I'm With the Lifeguard with a black polish to make the darker green and the neon pink is SpaRitual Dreamsicle. I didn't add a topcoat as I liked how everything is matte :)
It must be a while since I have done real nail art as I tried to do my right hand and even with such a simple design I failed D: first time in a long time I've only got one hand done! tutututut need to get back into doing more nail art...any requests??

Hope you like it!

Gosh - Highschool Flirt with all gold errythang

Hey :) I'm in a good mood today, good feedback for my last project and these nails are really photogenic ha!!

I wanted to treat myself for doing good ;) so I wanted to pick up Chanel Frenzy and possibly another but whaddya know my local debenhams don't got no Frenzy :( so I'm going to order it online....although I prefer instant gratification ;). Anyway I was also going to try Essie Barefoot and Topless and Barry M Lychee to continue my search for the perfect nude but my boots don't got no B&T and they sold out of Lychee! So I went to Superdrug and again no Lychee but I picked up this Gosh polish which I thought was half price but no it was full price, only like £4.99 or something but still...
I liked the look of it and I really like the lids of the special editions :D there were a few there that I didn't recognise and they still had a couple of Holographic Hero left so if you're in Ipswich and want to pick one up go to Superdrug man! Okay I'm going on a few tangents today hahaha anyway when I got home I looked for swatches and found out that it's from their spring/summer collection that was only released a couple of days ago so this is a bit on the ball for me ;).

I finally remembered whilst I was in town to grab some cheap necklaces so I could use the chains as embellishments so I added them to the base of my nails in the style of My Nails are Dope (I follow her on instagram, awesome nail artist just search for mynailsaredope) and my nails indeed look dope ;)

I got two of the same picture just because I liked both of them and couldn't choose between them :)

I really like the colour, it's a near match! A lot better than Sand Tropez on me anyway, I love love love nude nails especially when they get embellished with gold. The chain was super easy to cut with scissors and I just stuck it down with the polish then topped off with Seche Vite and I imagine they'll stay put until I want to get rid :). I thought I'd show you one of the necklaces I got, it's from H&M and it came in a pack of three and cost a measley £6.99 and the chain will last ages as they're fairly long and you get three!
If anyone was wondering the shirt is from Primark! I couldn't believe it when I saw it on somewhere, probably instagram...I spend waaaaay too much time on there ;) I'm thinking of doing some nails inspired by it as it's so good!! C'mon Koi karps, funny looking birds, flowers and plant life I'm yours ;).

How'd you like the colour/embellishment??
