Nubar Indigo Illusion Swatches

I have finally had a bit of time to redo my nails, I've been wearing Forget me Not by Dior for the past couple of days but I fancied a change today so I put Nubar on to fill time until my post arrives! I bought a limited edition Paul & Joe glitter "nail enamel" from ebay for.....£3!! Bargain especially as they are normally £11 :D it's rather pretty and I can't wait for it to get here, I love the bottle too :P. I got an email from Kiko today too telling me that my order has been shipped, it failed to mention at any point that they deliver from Italy! Oh well I got free shipping as it was my first order :D. Hopefully that won't take too long to get here now. Anddd I'm awaiting my two swaps so I'm excited everytime I check the postbox and everytime I'm disappointed :( :P.

Anywhoooo on to the polish that is actually here...
 Shiny and sparklyyyyy

Most of the time it is a greeny blue around the edges of the nail and then the middle is pink and  sparkly, it changes to that amazing green in different lighting and angles, sometimes the pink takes on a more purple tone, all in all it's very pretty and fascinating to watch :P. It's a very strong duochrome, it covers in two coats which dried pretty quickly and it applied so easily. It's very space age in my opinion, the colours look quite unusual and futuristic even though this came out a while ago. When you look at the bottle it looks kinda ugly but on the nail it's purdy!

I didn't do a good job at describing it or catching it in the state it's normally in, maybe I'll try tomorrow if I have time.

It's deadline day on friday, I've managed to do my final prints this morning I was in the darkroom from 9 till 1 and made 3 final prints, it's a very arduous task but worth it :) I've got some more research to do and evaluation and then mounting my prints tomorrow all to be handed in on friday morning. So basically I'm going to be v busy, but I'll make time to read all the blogs :D. I hope everyone else has a less stressful day planned for tomorrow!

Hope you all enjoyed this polish!

Models Own Indian Ocean Swatches and Review

Hiya, today I have Indian Ocean from the new Beetlejuice collection, it is a lot more pleasing than the previous polishes from the collection, it feels so fresh :).
I know it is a very sheer polish but I didn't have a suitable pale blue with me so I chose to wear it on its own, this is 5 layers and there is still VNL but it's pretty.

I'm not particularly pleased with these photographs but I have no choice! I do really like this polish, it's so pretty and delicate and it has a really strong duochrome, changing from blue with pink to golden yellow flash. It's really sparkly too and shiny without topcoat :) I think it should be called spring evening sky or something lame like that as the colours are exactly what the sky looks like blue and pink with the sun like this...
Lol.
I like it alot, it dried quickly and went on nice and smooth, £5 well spent :) I kind of want to try out the other two now haha they see nice and summery as is this one but I think it could work in the colder months too as it is kind of icy looking. Go get it!

Max Factor Fantasy Fire!!

First off sorry for not posting! I had a plan to post on saturday and sunday but the internet has broke at home noooo so I'm at my dad's with working internet :). I planned to show you Barry M Indigo on Saturday to tease you all about FF but now you get it all together hehe.
I have tried Indigo once before on my little finger nail and decided I didn't like it but it looked like the perfect base for FF so I gave it a second chance. And I really loved it!
 The first is in daylight
 This was taken with flash
It is a more vibrant inky blue than this shows, it leans more red so it's totally blurple! I don't understand why I didn't like it before, I was silly I guess but it went to nice and smoothly in two coats. Basically a lovely colour that I should have paid more attention too.
Fantasy Fire. I think those two words are enough, on with the pictures....Enlarge!!
First is with flash, the rest are just artificial lighting

I only managed to capture four of the colour shifts, in low light it looks bronze and blue, so cool! I am in love, especially with the green flash it's so lovely and unexpected :). That's all I feel I can say, many other people have done far better swatches than this.

I hope you have enjoyed this and sorry for my absence, I will make it up to you all tomorrow ;)
