Leopard print points

Good evening!

I am coming to you from my new (well overdue) laptop/tablet hybrid weeeheeee, I love it so much, it's so fast, although anything would be faster than my old notebook hahaha. I love how you can switch between stuff and just touch the screen instead of the mouse lol I've got the HP Envy x2 which has a keyboard and the screen detaches as a tablet, it's bigger than the ipad but it's not heavy ;).

Anyway enough about my new toy, lets talk about what cha came here fo'.
I got this polish in a set for Christmas, so they don't have names...annoying Techinc annoying. After my disappointment with Chanel Frenzy :( boohoo I was left with a taste for the greyed out lilac or a lilac tinged grey so I turned to the unnameable polish.
It's nice but a bit blah on its own needed jazzing (ew) up so I went with the old trusted Wahnails pen and knocked out some leopard tips.

These two are my favourite nails, they turned out the best.

Here's the bottle in question.
Like I said these were just something that I did really quickly one day last week, just a bit of fun, simple but effective ;).

This week I ordered from Diy Nails, which for those of you who don't know of the company, they are a british online company that sells studs, bows and hand painted false nails so they are an independent shop, with affordable prices. They posted a picture of what they called Lucky Dips  which are made up of bits of nail art goodies that they have left over and now are sellingfor£2.50 a bag! I had to get one of course; too much of a good offer to turn down!
My bag arrived yesterday and here's what I got:
My favourites are definitely the roses, Louis Vuitton stickers and the 4 glittery bows, oh and the adorable kitty fimo :D. Worth £2.50 I think so! I can't wait to use those roses, gah I love them!!
(The background is a cute notebook I got from Paperchase recently....my other weakness is notebooks! Paha)

Hope you all have a good weekend, I'm up at the crack of dawn tomorrow for our carboot sale!

Cray cray Leopard print Rainbow gradient

Sorry Lizzy it's not Zuza just yet :P

I saw a design on Wahnails instagram of these rainbow leopard print nails and I thought they were so awesome so I had to recreate, mine are a bit different and very bright! I started with a white base to make all the colours pop and to save time ;) so I used Barry M Matte white, which is an okay white, I only used two coats as I didn't need full coverage. Here are all the polishes I used
Barry M Matte White, Kiko 358 Peach Rose, Dior Riviera, Barry M Cyan Blue, Kiko 355 Canary Yellow and China Glaze I'm with the Lifeguard
Kind of a teaser for what's to come in like 5 seconds hahahhaha
I used the on the sponge method, I love how the colours blended together to make new colours :) I am in LOVE with Lifeguard, it's so neon hahaha. In real life this is very bright and vibrant. Next is the leopard print on top of this cray cray gradient.
Left hand in natural light

Right hand in natural light

I love the way the gradient on my right hand turned out the best, it's so pretty! I wish you could see how bright this is and how fun it looks. All we need now is sunnnnnnnnnn stupid England, I swear we are never going to get summer here :(. I freehanded the leopard print using my new and improved Wah nail art pen in black, I have a much better experience with that pen now that it's changed haha.
The gradient looks so much nicer in real life not as sludgy as it looks on the first picture. I'm happy happy happy with this and my photos too. I think I'll start doing photos of both my hands when I do nail art from now on so you can see that I do it on both nails ;).

You like how I've decided to get all fancy with my photos? I want my blog to look good and I should put my degree to use ;). I got my results and feedback through the post today and I'm very pleased with myself, I got a 2.1= overall which is good to say I never studied photography in college, it goes to show that you can do anything you want! I love this course so much, I can't wait to start my second year in september!! Wooooo.

Summer leopard print gradient

Wow 99 followers! Yay hello everyone :)
I was going to post this last night after my sister's fashion show (which was really good, I'm very proud) but mum wanted me to do her olympic nails as I won't be able to do them tonight and she is seeing the torch on thursday hence why she wanted the nails. I might put a picture up but I'm not sure cos I'm not happy with them, they're not very good :(.
Anyway I did this design after I did it o a set of falsies and loved it :P I started with Barry M Matte White, one coat! then I sponged Models Own Coral Reef and Kiko 358 and Matte White, it only took two sponged coats as I used the white as a base, clean up was horrible though as I didn't put vaseline around my cuticles and fingers so the red got everywhere and I couldn't get it all off without removing too much of the sponging so excuse the mess!
Yeah I don't like this gradient by itself but it only stayed like that for a few minutes whilst it dried. Onto the leopard print!

But this, I love! It looks like a iced summery drink :D again I'm just willing summer to arrive! This is a very easy and quick thing to do but it looks impressive, which is my kind of thing ;). I don't really have much else to say about it other than I neeeeed a new black nail art pen, gah you don't know how hard I had to squeeze to get a thin stream! My thumbs were killing after this haha.

I'll be doing my BFFFFFFF's nails tonight, she's the reason I created my pandas, so can you guess what she wants ;)

Have a good day everyone :)

Gosh 606 Early Green swatches & a surprise!

Hey everyone (new followers yay!)
Today I bought a polish that I've been needing for ages; lime green :D hehee so I got it from Gosh in superdrugfor £4.99 which is totally stingy seen as you only get 8ml! Anyway it is just the colour I was looking for, it's nice and bright but not neon but still in your face ;). From the bottle it looks quite subdued but don't be fooled.
Surprise!!
I finally did it. I finally had enough length to reshape my squovals into ovals! Eventually I want them to be skinnier almost pointed but not like scary stilettos but that won't happen until they grow some more (which should be in a couple of days ;)) I was scared to do it but I was really bored of my nails plus this way I can have them longer than I used to without them looking creepy long. LOL. I really like them now, at first I thought I'd made a mistake but not anymore, they look more elegant too :).
Having them this shape also means I could do this design that I've wanted to do for ages but it wouldn't suit squovals and I didn't have a lime green :P.

These are all taken in natural lighting.....obviously :P as it was nice outside for about 5 minutes ha. I freehanded the pink tips using the pink nails supreme pen, then I added the white with Barry M Matte White and did the leopard splodges. When I put seche vite on it somehow dragged the pink back onto the bottom of my nails? I saw this design in a wah nails advert and I knew I would have to recreate it one day! I love it, so fun and summery.

What do you think to my new nail shape?

Nail art: Gradient and Union Jacks

This is a post about two pieces of nail art that I have done over the past three days. That's the good thing about coming home, I get to do my sister and my mum's (rarely!) nails :). For my sister I gave her a purple and pink gradient, of course it had to be pink :P it does look good though....and then leopard print over the top :) I really love this especially on her short nails so if you have shorter nails you should totally try this!
Action shot ;)

The pink is Rimmel Pro Urban Princess (?) and the purple is Rimmel Pro Ultra Violet, I'm glad she chose these two actually they merge real nice and go with her tan ;). I used the same method as last time for the gradient.
My mum works at a primary school and today they are having Jubilee day as obviously the real Jubilee day is a bank holiday, so they're having a "street party" on the playground with a bbq and fun stuff. So she wanted me to give her Union Jack nails, so that's what I spent my night doing :P and here they are
mum's nails

Hehe :) the base colour of these is Order of the Garter from a-england, the white and red are just stripers. Mum's nails are a nice size for these, she has wider nails than me so the flags could be quite even :) she loved them, she keeps waving them at people in the street :| LOL!

Hope you've enjoyed these nails that aren't mine :) I'll be back later with a Nails Inc sprinkleeeee! Woo

Mix up nails

I was meant to post yesterday but I didn't cos I had a massive migrane *hangover* so I really didn't want to look at a bright screen but I'm here now so that's all that matters. I really wanted to do something fun and bright so I took out my nail art pen and nice colours and got to work, I only had three colours that matched so I decided to use a opposing colour as an accent so that's why it looks odd haha.
For my index finger I used Topshop Hypnotic which is silver with flashes of pink and green
For the thumb I used Ultra Violet and Aqua Cool both by Rimmel Pro
The red is Urban purple by Rimmel Pro and the gold for the chains is 25 carot gold by Models Own.
I almost left the pinky and middle fingers with just the two colours but I thought they needed something to link (haha you get it ;)) with the metalic nail, I am happy with the way it turned out, the outline of the chains are really messy as it was my first time using the smallest dotting tool to draw with as it were so I didn't quite get the hang of it :P. I like it, it's fun to look at and so I'm pleased with it. I did this on saturday and everything is holding up well without a topcoat, naughty I know but I couldn't be bothered if I'm being honest lol.
All the polishes dried nice and quickly and all bar the red are two coats, I really like the Rimmel pro polishes they are really saturated and have a nice big brush which makes applying it super easy, one stroke for my little nail :P.

I'm still waiting over a week after my orders for my two ots of polish to arrive, it's totally annoying because I ordered them to my house and I'm returning to uni tomorrow for 6 weeks.....I'll have to get my mum to post them up to me if they ever arrive *sigh*. I got two polishes from a-england and 3 from Nubar (my first Nubars, will they ever get here? Lol).

Hope you enjoyed!

Leopard halves mani

Mornin'
I know I haven't posted for a few days for a couple of reasons the main being I didn't want to take my owls off :P and I've been super busy with uni, one day we were in from 9-5 with no break cos we  had a lecture and then straight into trying to recreate the lighting in other peoples photographs....man it took forever! Also we have this awful fire alarm here in halls and last night someone broke it so it went on from 2.40AM - 3.40AM!!! I was so frikin' tired this morning, couldn't get up but we had to cos the bf's parents are here for the weekend with the dogs yaya :).

Okay, now what we are all here for, I had to use one of my untrieds and it's a small selection now only 8, I decided to get one of the pinks out of the way in a design that I had painted some fake nails with and sent to my sister (because I am the best sis eva ;)).

I started with the white base using the only white I own a Sally Hansen french manicure (for tips only) kind of white, there's no denying it, it was awful, I used three coats and it was still patchy but I knew I was going to be filling in bits and leoparding the rest it didn't matter. The pink is Cabana by Sinful Colors, which is a nice thick formula and was nearly opaque in one swoop but I did two as it wasn't fully :P. The gold splodges are 25 Carat Gold by Models Own and I freehanded the lines with my models own nail art pen. I got the idea for this design from Wah nails, I really like it, it's a twist on a classic leopard manicure :) here are the fake nails I painted for my darling sibling  ;)
She loved them :P I hope you enjoyed them too!

EDIT: I am entering this design in Rebecca likes Nails nail art contest yay :)

Nail art inspiration comes from everywhere!

I'm sure my attention span is getting shorter ever since I started blogging, that explains why I post like a million things everyday ha! Anyway I became bored with my nude leopard and french tips mani but I hadn't (and still haven't going out to dinner tonight though ;) ) been anywhere to show it off so I compromised and just changed my thumb instead. I used a design that I thought up yesterday, it's inspired by a tee shirt that is inspired by a scarf....

I used Blueberry Ice Cream by Barry M as the base, it's such a sweet colour, pale but warm (??) blue, it needed two coats but I only used one as you can only see a tiny bit at the top. Other colours used were all Barry M but I've lost the names, the green might be Spring green but I'm not sure, as usual I freehanded everything and used my trusty MO/Wah pens. It's a bit messy...but you get the idea :).

I want to show you how the matte topcoat is doing after 2 days, quite well, my nails are starting to get their shine back though or at least I think they are, I think I'm just looking for an excuse to change my nails :P.

I went to Debenhams today and finally got Forget Me Not by Dior! Yay, I've been wanting it since looking at other blogs reviewing it, and it's finally mine. I might have to attempt to review it just for the packaging! Beautiful although I got fingerprints all over mine :(. So that will be my next post :).

I want to make this blog more friendly and interactive so please let me know if you like any of my designs and this blog in general :)
